Zachary Thomas Spooner

Windsor, NH Zachary Thomas Spooner, 27, of Windsor, NH, died Wednesday, September 18, 2024, as the result of an industrial accident. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, neighbor and friend. He is a child of God and loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all his heart, mind, soul and spirit. Zach spent most of his childhood in Weare, NH, where he served as an active member of Weare Christian Church throughout his life. He was homeschooled through high school, then attended Manchester Community College and earned his Associates degree in Automotive Technology. He worked at Hillsboro Ford as an automotive technician for many years before employment as a diesel mechanic at Haynes Mulch in Weare, NH, more than a year ago. Described as having a “servant’s heart,” Zach's faith in Jesus was more than "just on Sunday". Friends agree that he had a way of making others feel understood and left them wanting to do better, be better, and count their blessings. It could be seen regularly in his willingness to help and serve his family, friends and neighbors. He will be remembered for helping people at any time. Always wearing a smile, he served at his church, helped many people fix their cars, never hesitated to help friends and family with anything. Most recently, Zach was one of the first people to run to the scene of a fatal motorcycle accident near his home, doing all he could to help in the situation. He found the love of his life, Kaitlyn Baker, when he was 13 years old, and married her seven years ago. Together they were overjoyed to have their daughter Millie Anne Spooner, now 17 months old. He was a loving husband and father who liked nothing more than spending time with his wife and daughter. He also enjoyed woodworking, welding, 3-D printing, grilling, and making his family pizza. Zach will be dearly missed by his wife, Kaitlyn, and their daughter Millie; parents, Porter and Cindy Spooner of Weare, NH; sisters, Brittney and Sarah Spooner of Dover, NH. He is also survived by grandparents, Sandra J. Grant of Weare, NH; Richard A. and Linda M. Ducharme of Manchester, NH. He also leaves behind his in-laws, David and Teresa Baker and brother-in-law Michael Baker, all of Weare. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Bourne W. Spooner of Candia, NH. A Celebration of Life is planned for Zachary on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024 at 10 a.m. at the Weare Christian Church Ministry Building, 325 N. Stark Highway (Rt. 114) in Weare, NH.
