Wayne H Elliott

Antrim, NH: Wayne Henrey Elliott was born in Antrim, NH on February 4th, 1935 to William “Dewey” and Doris L. (Barnett) Elliott. Wayne ended his journey at the age of 89 surrounded by family in his home on March 18th, 2024. Wayne was born in a Farmhouse on North Main Street in Antrim, NH and Grew up on Elm Ave in Antrim, NH with his parents. He met his wife of 63 years in the early 1950’s in Peterborough, NH. The then, Shirley Blanchette was fetching him some water from the creek for his tractors’ radiator when Wayne was doing a job for her father the late Charles Blanchette. They were married on December 1st, 1956, in Peterborough, NH. Wayne and Shirley acquired a piece of land at 177 Elm Ave from his father Dewey Elliott and there, Wayne built his house, one piece at a time with the help from family and friends with re-purposed materials acquired from various places including where he gained some of his knowledge of carpentry from North Branch Builders of 7 years.
