Bumford (Nancy), Jaime L. Weston (Tom), Jason W. Bumford (Karie) Matthew R. Jr. worked for Monadnock Paper Mills for 35 years and previously worked at Lorden Lumber. He served in the 82nd Airborne 1947-1949 and enjoyed telling stories of his service and jumping from planes. He was an avid outdoorsman, and his spirit was contented greatly by farming and raising cows. The land around his home he knew like the back of his hand, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends and family. It always stirred a sense of pride in him when his family would come over with stories of their own catch or hunt. His greatest love was Cynthia and the family they shared. He would often recall the number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren they had together with a smile on his face.
The family will be hosting a celebration of life at the Hillsborough American Legion on Saturday August 23 from 1-4PM. All who knew him are invited to attend.
Services are under the care of Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
