Vivian Rose (Gleason) Bohanan, 71 of Hillsboro, NH passed away on January 18, 2026, after a brief battle with cancer, surrounded by her family. Vivian was born November 17, 1954, in Boston, MA. The daughter of Donald Kirk Gleason, Jr and Rose Frances (Brown) Gleason. Vivian graduated from Marlboro High School, Marlboro, MA in 1973.
Vivan worked for Hillsboro Police Dispatch as a Communication Specialist for 22 years. Vivian was dedicated to making sure her police family remained safe. Vivian enjoyed crocheting blankets for family and friends, as well as making hats for Monadnock Community Hospital. She enjoyed fishing, spending time at the beach, and baking Peanut Brittle and Fudge every Christmas. She loved spending time with family and watching over her grandchildren.
Vivian was the anchor of the family. Whether it was to celebrate birthdays, holidays or you just needed a warm cup of coffee, there was always a seat for you at her table.
Vivian is survived by her children: Daughter, Michelle and her husband Matthew Fitzgerald, son's, Kirk and his wife Nicole Bohanan, and Sean and his wife Caitlyn Bohanan, her "adopted" daughters Kerry Crews and Alison and her husband Joey Cooper. Her sisters: Katherine Morvan and Diane Skinner, Her grandchildren Alyssa, Bryson, Dagan, Riley, Carter, Oliva, Shayla, Charles and Clara. Great granddaughter Paisley. Her special niece, Christy, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, many amazing friends including Gracie & Kenny Wille and Diane Case, her Hillsboro PD family and of course, her Breakfast Club!
Vivian is predeceased by her brothers: Richard Gleason, Donald Kirk Gleason III, and Thomas Gleason.
A Celebration of life will be held on Sunday February 1, 2026, from 1pm-6pm at the Hillsboro American Legion, Post #59. A short service begins at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Vivians's honor to Hillsboro Police Association, 22 Municipal Drive Hillsboro, NH 03244.
