Stephen Craig
Christian
Sep 20, 1958 — Aug 24, 2026
Stephen Craig Christian, 67, of Merrimack, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2026. Born in Moriah, New York, on September 20, 1958, he was the son of Claribell Julia Christian (Fournier) and the late Richard John Christian.
Stephen was born in Ticonderoga, New York, and moved to Westford, Massachusetts, during his early childhood. After graduating from Westford Academy in 1975, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he proudly served his country for four years. Following his honorable discharge, Stephen continued his dedication to his country as a member of the United States Navy Reserves.
Following his military service, Stephen eventually turned his passion for building and craftsmanship into a successful career, owning and operating Cornerstone Remodeling until his retirement. Known for his strong work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in a job well done, he earned the respect and appreciation of clients, colleagues, and friends throughout the years.
In his free time, Stephen cherished spending time with family and friends, always making those around him laugh with his humor and stubborn nature. He loved traveling and exploring new places, spending time on the lake fishing, and was known for never passing up an opportunity to sing Johnny Cash or quote John Wayne.
Stephen leaves behind his daughter, Melanie Christian, and her husband, Adam Benn, of New Hampshire; his cherished grandchildren, Ethan, Abigail, and Harper Benn; his mother, Claribell Christian, of Massachusetts; his sister, Julie Morash and her husband, Don, of Massachusetts; and his nephews, Jacob, Michael, and Matthew Morash. In addition to his father, Stephen was predeceased by his grandson, Jordan Christian.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
