On August 18, 2025 at about 9:30 AM Robert (Bob) Thomas Mobile quietly and peacefully passed away at GVNA Hospice House in Concord, NH after a prolonged battle with several medical issues.
Born in New York, New York on February 26, 1947, he was preceded by his father, Robert James Mobile and his mother, Anna Schlogel Mobile.
Bob served in the US Air Force stationed primarily at Holloman AFB in New Mexico, where he worked mostly on radar and radios for the aircraft stationed on that base. After 4 years of service he returned to New York to work for Raytheon servicing mostly ship radar systems. He moved to New Hampshire with Raytheon and soon transferred to Motorola Communications where he worked for over 40 years as a field engineer, traveling across the US designing and implementing radio systems primarily for emergency services such as law enforcement agencies – state and local, fire departments and other emergency services.
He loved HAM amateur radio primarily the 6 M(meter) band width and over the years achieved a top level of radio contacts from other radio operators all over the world even by bouncing radio signals off the moon.
Bob also loved playing pool (billiards) and was very active at times in social club leagues primarily in Hillsborough and Manchester.
He leaves his wife of 45 years Nancy Robinson Mobile of Hillsborough, his son Michael Anthony Mobile and his wife Kerri McWalters Mobile and two granddaughters Hadley and Sadie of Concord NH. He also leaves his stepson, William Robert Travis and his wife, Jackie Lequin Travis and two step grandsons, John and Daniel and a step granddaughter, Jocelyn of Leominster, MA.
There will be no funeral services, only a small family grave side service.
