Robert McWalters

September 1, 1940 — March 23, 2026

Robert Thomas McWalters, 85, of Concord, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026.

Born on September 1, 1940, Bob lived a full and meaningful life defined by devotion to his family, a deep curiosity about the world, and a generous spirit that showed itself in both big and small ways.

Bob was a proud graduate of the University of Dayton, Class of 1961, and went on to earn his Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law in 1964. He built a long and respected career as an attorney, bringing dedication, intelligence, and integrity to his work.

Above all else, Bob was a family man. He loved nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren, whether it was sharing stories, hosting family dinners, or simply being present. His home was always welcoming, and he took genuine joy in bringing people together.

Bob had a zest for life and many passions. He was an avid New York Yankees fan, following the team with lifelong loyalty. He loved to travel and explore, with a special fondness for Italy and Aruba, places that captured his appreciation for good food, beautiful landscapes, and time well spent. A talented home cook and enthusiastic host, Bob enjoyed preparing meals and hosting dinner parties, often sharing stories and laughter around the table.

He also had a well-known green thumb, and friends and family joked that he served as the household's "ER doctor for dying houseplants," patiently bringing even the most neglected greenery back to life.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia A. McWalters; his children, Aileen P. Schnare (Terry Schnare), Denise M. Jobe (Scott Jobe), Cara L. Ferraro (John Ferraro), and Kerrianne Mobile (Michael Mobile); and his grandchildren, Kathryn Schnare, Meghan Schnare, Tricia Capon, Emily Leaney, Lauren Jobe, Emily Bryant, Olivia Ferraro, Erynn Ferraro, Lilly Ferraro, Hadley Mobile, and Sadie Mobile. He is also survived by his great‑grandchildren, Madeline Capon, Teddy Capon, and Kinsley Bryant. He is further survived by his sister, Frances Elizabeth Patterson, and his brother, Thomas McWalters.

He was predeceased by his great‑grandchildren, Henry Capon, Oliver Leaney, and Evelyn Bryant.

A Mass will be held on May 29, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Concord, New Hampshire with a reception to follow. Burial will follow on May 30, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Wilkins Cemetery in Deering, New Hampshire.

Bob will be remembered for his warmth, his humor, his love of family, and the many ways he made life richer for those around him.
