Marshall Miller Moyer, Jr

Marshall M. Moyer, 72, of Lowell, MA, passed away on June 23, 2025.
Marshall was born on January 2, 1953, in Concord, New Hampshire, to the late Marshall M. Moyer Sr. and Olive Moyer nee Brown.
He was an alumnus from both the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston where he was schooled in a variety of media and art techniques. Graphite, pencil, oil pastels, and acrylic paints were his preferred medium. Marshall created tightly rendered art imagery designed to challenge religious, political and sexual biases. Over the years, Marshall did a variety of professional work in graphic design, print production, packaging and marketing, and creative project manager. He was a member of the Arts League of Lowell. He was also an accomplished children’s book writer.
He is survived by his brother Todd Moyer of Concord, New Hampshire and half-sister Linda MacDonald of Lowell, MA. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Craig Moyer. He also leaves behind 2 lifelong friends, Mark Winzler of Contoocook, New Hampshire, and Peter Charlton of Richmond, Vermont. Marshall had many other good friends throughout his life.
A celebration of Marshall’s life will be held sometime in September. A more detailed obituary will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association in Marshall’s memory.
