Marilyn Powers

Marilyn (Donahue) Powers, age 75, of Hillsboro, NH died peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, March 27, 2026 at Concord Hospital. Marilyn was born and raised in Quincy, Massachusetts, and was the wife of Peter Powers, Sr. for 46 years.

She was the loving mother of Peter Powers, Jr. and his wife Elissa, the late Jessica Powers, the late Sean Powers, Daniel Powers and his partner Angela, Scott Powers and his partner Rilee, and David Powers. She was the cherished grandmother of Owen, Evan, Stella, Tenley, Nora, Gianna, June, Remi, and Elowyn Powers. Marilyn was the daughter of the late Frederick W. and Pearl V. Donahue. Marilyn was one of five siblings, and was the dear sister of Joyce Hogan, John Donahue, Frederick Donahue Jr., and Brian Donahue. Marilyn is survived by many loving sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Marilyn was a Licensed Practical Nurse, and worked for the Hillsboro-Deering School District. Marilyn loved more, laughed louder, and lived her life caring for everyone around her. She proudly volunteered her time with the Hillsboro community by actively supporting many activities. Marilyn received the Champions for Children Award given by the New Hampshire Schools Administrators Administration for her unwavering dedication to children in the community. She was also honored as a recipient of the Withington Award in 2007.

Visiting hours will be held at the Holt Woodbury Funeral Homes, 32 School Street, Hillsboro, NH, on Monday, April 6, 2026, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 10:00am, a Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint Theresa Catholic Church, 158 Old West Hopkinton Road, Henniker, NH. Interment will follow in the chapel at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Marilyn's memory may be made to the Hillsboro Fire and Rescue Squad.
