Laura May Carlson

Laura May (Wilson) Carlson, 96, of Henniker NH, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family members, on February 10, 2024. After a period of failing health – at 96 this is no surprise – she spent her last days at a nursing home in Goffstown NH. She was home with care until she was 95. Laura was born in Berlin, NH on October 23, 1928. The family moved from that area to Henniker where Laura was introduced to dairy farming and her twin brothers Lee and Leon. She married Carl as soon as she graduated from Henniker High School in 1947. They continued farming, having 5 children and improving her sewing skills until a few years after her father passed in 1961. She cleaned houses, worked at the switchboard in Henniker, worked at the bowling alley in Henniker and finally ended up at New England college where she took an early retirement shortly after her husband’s passing. Before Carl passed, they made the trip of a lifetime to California and back in their motor home. She continued to sew for more people...
