Kay Lorraine (Barnes) Bennett, 74, of Hillsborough, NH, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Tuesday, December 17.
Born March 29, 1950 in Minneapolis, she moved to Boston in 1980 to live closer to her parents. They had already retired and moved to the beloved family Homestead in Hillsborough Center where Kay vacationed annually.
In 2016, after a career in retail working for Jordan Marsh, Filene’s and Macy’s, Kay, and husband, Steve, retired and moved to the Homestead which was built in 1773 for the Reverend Jonathan Barnes, the first minister of the Hillsborough Congregational Church.
Kay loved music (Eric Clapton), travelling to ALL the National Parks (favorite-Bryce), reading (avid library supporter), and exercising (2 daily workouts in the home gym). We will miss seeing Kay riding her mower, listening to her iPod with ear buds on and singing at the top of her lungs!
Kay had 3 sisters, Ann, Lynn and Jane (deceased). Kay loved her nieces and nephews, but her focus was always on...
