Kathleen (McGonagle) Iadonisi, 73, passed away in her sleep July 30, 2025 after a three year battle with esophageal cancer.
She was born in Brighton, MA on May 6, 1952, to the late John and Catherine (O’Donnell) McGonagle. She had a passion for tennis in her younger years and was an integral part of her school’s tennis club. Cathy graduated from Fontbonne Academy in Milton, MA in 1970. She studied home economics at Framingham State College before marrying her loving husband on August 18, 1972. Cathy and Louis have resided in Washington, NH for 44 years.
She was a wonderful wife and spent most of her life caring for her children while also balancing work outside of the home. Cathy enjoyed her time working at Hillsboro Lumber and the US postal service. She made a career at Lake Sunapee Bank, working her way up to Bank Manager. While she really did enjoy her jobs, her truest form of gratification came from being at home with her family. She loved to garden and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere that their property provided.
Family members include her husband of 52 years, Louis Iadonisi of Washington; son Michael Iadonisi and wife Herla of Hillsborough; daughter Kyle (Iadonisi) Geaumont and husband Benjamin of Hettinger, ND; son Jeffrey Iadonisi and wife Rosemary of Washington; grandchildren Louis and Jake Iadonisi, Chloe, Chase, and Macy Geaumont, and John, Anthony, Grace, and Rose Iadonisi; late brother John McGonagle and wife Maureen of Foxborough, MA; sister Mary McGonagle of Walpole, MA; and many nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Tuesday, August 5th from 5-7 p.m. in Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 32 School St., Hillsborough. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Cathy's life Wednesday, August 6th from 12-4 p.m. at Daniel’s Restaurant & Pub, Henniker.
