Karen Sharpe

Karen Mae Sharpe, 75, of Hancock NH passed away peacefully at her home on September 17, 2026 at her home. She was surrounded by the love of her family.

A women of extraordinary resilience, she faced life's challenges with immense strength and remained a pillar of devotion to those she loved. Karen worked the majority of her life at Osram Sylvania of Hillsboro, until she retired. Her final days were spent at home wrapped in the dedicated care of her family. Karen was a woman of rare grace and independence. She found her greatest joy in the simple pleasures of life, spending time with her family, celebrating holidays, as well as sharing laughs with her close circle of long-term friends, whom she held all very dear to her. She was known for her unwavering vibrant spirit, and she left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her. She had a love for travel, camping "karen-style" and even enjoyed routing for her favorite race car driver or NFL player. Above all she thrived on connection, sharing laughs, and making memories that her loved ones will cherish forever.

Karen is survived by her loving husband Robert Sharpe, her children Stacy Grimes, Greg Grimes and his wife Nancy Grimes, Amy Brace and Sara Sharpe, whom she shared a special bond with, her grandchildren, Hannah, Fayth, Hope, Brittany, Avery Darren, Bryson, India and Gwyneth and several great grandchildren whom she adored. She is also survived by her sister Marsha, her brothers, Jimmy and Donald as well as several nieces and nephews. She had an especially close relationship with her sisters' children Sherri and Maureen. She is predeceased by her 3 sons, Matthew, Brian and Bobby, her brother Phil Weatherbee and her parents, Ida and Charles Weatherbee.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a graveside memorial service at Maple Ave Cemetery in Hillsboro. The date of the service will be announced at the convenience of the family and will be updated in The Messenger and on the website.
