Joan M. Max

WASHINGTON, NH: Joan Ellen Mariani Max, age 85, passed away December 17, 2023, peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her family and eased into eternal rest. She was predeceased by her parents, Americus and Josephine Mariani and her brother Alan Mariani. She leaves behind her husband of 60 years, Ronald Max of Washington NH, and three sons, Philip of Florida, John, his wife Heather and their children, Hannah, Emily and Alicia of Sanbornton, NH and Doug Max and his children, Chad, Carlie and Cole of Granby, CT. She also leaves behind her two sisters, Henrietta Kilborn and Elaine Sardinskas, and several nieces and nephews. Joan was a social butterfly and touched the lives of everyone she met. She had a natural way of making friends with everyone she encountered and always found the best in people, demonstrating forgiveness and kindness.
