Bennington, NH: Jim Griswold Jr, 70, of Bennington, passed away on March 17th, 2024, surrounded by the comfort of family. Fondly known as Griz, Jim was a lifelong resident of Bennington and was born on July 20th, 1953, in Peterborough, NH, to Jim and Betty Griswold. He graduated from ConVal High School in 1971. Jim married the love of his life, Kathy, on September 5th, 2018, in Bennington. In 1992, he established his own painting company, which he proudly passed down to his sons upon his retirement. Jim was one of the founders of the Bennington Sportsman Club, serving as its president for many years. He was an enthusiastic hunter and outdoorsman, sharing this passion with his sons, family, and friends. Jim cherished early morning back road rides with his best friend, Norm, and enjoyed relaxing on the porch with a cold beer and his faithful companion, Auggie.
