James Bernard Baldwin

July 15, 1933 — May 5, 2026

James B. Baldwin (Jim), 92, of Hillsboro, NH, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Hillsboro House Nursing Home after a brief decline in health.

He was born in Newport, NH, on July 15, 1933, the son of Edwin Baldwin and Bernice (Louisell) Baldwin.

A lifelong resident of Hillsboro, he graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1951.

He served in the U.S. Navy for four years during the Korean War, from 1952 to 1956.

He retired from GTE Sylvania in 1990 after 34 years. He and his wife then spent winters in Englewood, FL, and summers enjoying their camp on White Pond in Windsor, NH.

Jim was a long-time member of the Moose Club in Hillsboro where he met his loving wife Becky and enjoyed over 57 years together before her passing in 2024. He also enjoyed taking drives on the beautiful New Hampshire country roads, listening to old-time music, and finding time to stop and play a game of cribbage. Jim's witty jokes and humor will be missed by all who enjoyed spending time with him.

Jim is survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his wife Roberta (Becky).

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on July 15 at 11am in St. Mary's Church, 38 Church St. Hillsboro, NH. A luncheon will be served by the church. Burial may take place at a later date due to construction of the new Columbarium in the NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
