Herman A. Davison, of Bradford, NH, passed away on August 24, 2025 surrounded by family after a three-year battle with cancer.
Herman was the son of Dorothy E. (Westgate) Davison and Albert H. Davison. He was born April 22, 1947 in Concord, New Hampshire.
Herman graduated from Penacook High School in 1965 and served in the U.S. Marines, stationed at Camp Lejeune and at Okinawa during the Vietnam war. After returning home, he became a NH Fish and Game Conservation Officer and then served at the NH State Prison as Transport Sargent until he retired. After retirement Herman worked as a Court Security Officer for Merrimack County, the NH Courts and finally Sullivan County.
‘Herm’ as he was known to his friends was known for his quick wit, one-liners and ‘dad jokes’. He enjoyed family cookouts and get togethers and trying out new recipes.
He leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Fay E. (Russell) Davison, two daughters Rebecca Smith (Michael), and Katherine Graeme (Russell); six grandchildren, Courtney Barter-Colcord (Ben), Madison Smith, Kyle Graeme, Trever Graeme, Braden Graeme and Olivia Graeme; and one great grandson, Leiton Barter-Colcord. He was predeceased by his parents and his son Scott A. Davison.
Graveside services will be held on September 14, 2025 1:00pm at the Henniker New Cemetery, Henniker, NH.
