Francis Ansel Hardy, Jr

Francis A. Hardy Jr., 93, passed in the comfort of his home surrounded by the love of his family in Franklin, NH on May 23, 2025.

Born a son to the late Francis A. Hardy Sr. and Ruth Mae Cooper on October 10, 1931 in Hopkinton, NH.

Francis proudly served in the Army during the Koren War, later he served 18 years on the Hillsboro Fire Department. After retiring he spent several winters in Florida where he started collecting Nascar memorabilia. Francis also discovered casinos where he spent a little on the slots and a little more on a couple cold beers.

Francis is survived by his partner Norma Fitts, his sisters Vera English and Velma and her husband Floyd Skilling. He is also survived by his sons, Duane and his wife Darlene, Michael Hardy and wife Charlene and his daughter Donna Leach. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wives Isabell Landry and Joan Schacht, his sisters Lucie Robertson and Betty Calkins, his son Timothy Hardy, his great-grandson Carson Hardy, as well as his brother-in-law David English.

Honoring Francis’s requests there will be no calling hours. Please join the family for a graveside service on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 11:00am in Henniker New Cemetery.
