Eugene Livingston

Eugene “Gene” Livingston, 83, of Hillsboro, passed after a period of declining health surrounded by the love of his family at Concord Hospice House on Friday, March 7, 2025. He was born a son to the late Violet and Sidney Livingston on July 24, 1941 in Goffstown, NH.

Gene honorably served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam war. He was also a proud member of the Hillsboro Fire Department, rising to the rank of Assistant Chief.

Gene is survived by his loving wife Marianne of 63 years, their children Theo and his wife Christina of Las Cruces NM, Steve and his wife Samantha of Hillsboro. He also leaves behind his four grandchildren, Steven Livingston and his wife Melissa, Samantha and her husband Paul Stewart, Sidney Livingston and his wife Shannon, and Will Livingston. He also leaves behind his four great-grandchildren, Evan Livingston, Alexa Livingston, Elena Stewart, Luke Stewart, his niece Karen (Livingston) Muthersbaugh as well as many loving cousins, family friends. He is predeceased by his father Sidney Dodge Livingston, his mother Violet May (Putnam) Livingston and brothers Sidney and Forrest Livingston.

A viewing will be held on March 22, 2025, from 1:00-5:00pm at Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home, 32 School St. Hillsboro. A Celebration of life will be held at the American Legion Post 59 in Hillsboro at 5:00pm following the viewing.

The family requests no flowers. Instead, donations can be made in Gene’s honor to the Hillsboro Rescue and Fire Department, PO Box 7 Hillsboro NH 03244 or to the Granite VNA, 240 Pleasant St. Concord NH, 03301.
