Elizabeth Ottens

December 7, 1943 — February 3, 2026

Elizabeth Ottens 82, of Hillsborough NH, passed unexpectedly on February 3, 2026.

Elizabeth who many referred to as Bettye or Betty Boop was born December 7, 1943 in Dover NH and was raised in Hillsborough NH by parents Dorothy M. Jordan who passed in 2008 and Harry Jordan Sr. who passed in 1987.

Elizabeth grew up and resided most of her life in Hillsborough NH as well as residing in Deering and Washington NH.

She grew up alongside her two siblings Harry Jordan of Arkansas born January 15 and sister Lynn Hauser also of Hillsborough NH who was born July 31, who passed suddenly at her home in 2012. Elizabeth is also predeceased by another sibling Phyliss Jordan of Hillsborough NH who unexpectedly passed as an adolescent.

Elizabeth grew up alongside her siblings in Hillsborough NH where she spent her teenage years making friends and enjoying cheerleading. She spent her early adult years waitressing until she reached adulthood where she met Kenneth Wiley of Strafford NH at Data General where they later married and had two beautiful children of their own. Jennifer Wiley Clough born January 17, 1971 and Daveen Elizabeth Lloyd born February 11, 1974.

Elizabeth while raising her two daughters also worked full time for a majority of her life at locations in Hillsborough know as: The Legion and The Moose where she bartended for nearly four decades. She was known by all who worked and associated there as Betty Boop, her favorite cartoon character who she loved and collected lots of memorabilia of. She also was employed at Sylvania of Hillsborough NH where she retired at the age of 65. But as all of us who know her knew even after retirement she couldn't stop working. She went back to work and continued bartending even in her eighties, which to all is incredibly admirable and shows just how committed she was to her job, her friends, and her community.

As much as she loved her job and her friends, nothing was more important to her than family and companionship. She settled down and raised her family for roughly thirteen years alongside her former husband Horst Ottens who passed in 1998.

She then later in life met her best friend, her partner in crime, and longtime companion Fred Kulbacki, also known as Uncle Bud to many. They met at her work and spent quite a lot of time there making memories together alongside their closest friends where the two of them were inseparable up until his passing in 2017.

Her favorite joys alongside being a spouse and mother was also becoming a grandmother to Charles Davis of Washington NH, Kyra Lloyd of Antrim, Daniel Clough and Matthew Clough of Hillsborough NH. Nothing brought her more joy than her grandbabies! Fast forward to the year 2018 where she experienced the great joy of becoming a great grandmother to three beautiful grandchildren: Archer Jones born in 2018, Kimberly Jones born 2020 and Austin Jones born in 2024 by parents Kyra Lloyd and fiancée Andrew Jones.

She loved treating her grand-babies to trips to Manahan to soak up the sun and splash in the water, grabbing crab rangoons at the local Chinese restaurant and treating her great grand-babies to memories and Knick knacks and lots of laugh and love.

She spent the last few years cherishing all life had to give her by spending it with friends and family soaking up laughter and smiles. She spent it watching her oldest daughter Jennifer alongside her husband Ted Clough raise their beautiful blended family of 6; Nicole Gugliotti, Samantha Hardwick, James Clough, Charles Davis, Daniel and Matthew Clough as well as seeing her youngest daughter Daveen Lloyd meet her soulmate, Nicholas Valliancourt. She got to watch her children grow up, get married and meet their soulmates, buy forever homes and have a family of their own. She witnessed her daughter's become grandparents to their grand babies (12 total) what a beautiful thing. She spent her years being so proud and honored being a mother, a sister, an aunt and truthfully everyone's best friend! She loved everyone she met as if they were her own and welcomed each and everyone with open arms and a tremendously large smile! She had the most contagious laugh and the best smile and always knew how to get jiggy with it as she said and bust a move. She loved her cats, her music and a good time. She never met a person she didn't enjoy talking to or spending time with. She was known as being the sweetest, hippest and most loving woman to exist in the Hillsborough NH community and even surrounding areas. She was incredibly bubbly and known as a social butterfly to all. She loved to laugh and always knew how to get you join in too. To have known her was the greatest blessing life could give and to be loved by her was the greatest privilege to be had. She was the best friend one could have and to of known her so was an honor and an ultimate blessing.
