Dennis Reed Cluche

July 15, 1949 — January 25, 2026

Dennis Reed "Den," "Denny," "Grumpa" Cluche, 76, of Deering, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026. Born on July 15, 1949, in Goffstown, Dennis was the son of the late George and Eva (Chandler) Cluche. Den grew up in Goffstown surrounded by his siblings and an abundance of neighborhood friends. A salt-of-the-earth kind of man, he was hardworking, quick to laugh, and always ready to play a good-natured prank. His generous spirit was known far and wide, he never hesitated to lend a helping hand to a friend, neighbor, or passerby.

Den found joy in the simple things: tending and raising livestock (including a pair of beloved oxen in his younger years), maple sugaring, fishing, and spending time at his camp in Clarksville, NH. Many will fondly (or not so fondly) remember him for his homemade hot peppers.

Den was a dedicated employee of Wilkins Lumber in Milford, where he worked as a sawyer for 50 years before retiring. Even in retirement, his passion for the craft never waned-he continued sawing lumber at home for family and friends. After retirement, Den joyfully took on the role of full-time Grumpa, attending every game, event, and milestone of his beloved grandchildren. Above all, he cherished time spent gathered with friends and family, where laughter was frequent and love abundant.

Den is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ellen (Ashford) Cluche; son Chad Cluche (Courtney Bennett), son Brandon Cluche (Laura Newton), and daughter Amanda Morris (Peter Morris); his siblings, Edward, Chris (Laurie), and Beverly Chartier; 7 grandchildren; Gillian, Mikayla, Davin, Evelyn, Lincoln, Scarlett, Leland and many nieces, nephews, and friends who loved him dearly. The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date to honor Den's remarkable spirit.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home. www.holtwoodburyfh.com.
