Cathrine Caouette

Contoocook, NH Cathrine “Pat “ Caouette of Contoocook, died May 23 at the age of 86. Pat was born January 19, 1938 in Rye, NH to Samuel Reddy and Cathrine Gillingham Reddy. She and her husband of 59 years, Bob, were long time residents of Contoocook where she operated Pat’s Beauty Shop. Pat was very active in her community and a member of many local organizations including the Hopkinton Woman’s Club, Hopkinton High School Alumni Association, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Her interest in state and federal politics led to her service on the NH Board of Education, Governor’s Council on Energy, and the Professional Standards Board. She was active on many political campaigns and helped many charitable organizations over the years. Her spare time was spent with their many friends, traveling and socializing. Pat was an animal lover and nurtured many cats and dogs at her home in Contoocook. She loved to sing and was a long-time member of the popular local band Strings ‘N Things.
