Beth A Putnam

Beth Alison (Hammer) Putnam, 63, of Keene, NH passed away peacefully at Cheshire Medical Center on May 31, 2026.

Beth was born in Concord, NH on April 1, 1963, to the late Marvin and Dorothy (Ryley) Hammer. She grew up in West Deering, NH.

Beth spent part of her life working in healthcare, first at Monadnock Community Hospital as a phlebotomist and later at Robin Hill Farm caring for adults with traumatic brain injuries.

Beth will be remembered as a kind, funny, compassionate, and stubborn woman. She loved to visit with friends, sharing cups of coffee and the latest gossip. She was a spiritual woman who found comfort in her relationship with God through the trials in her life. She had a generosity of spirit that led her to open her door to any person or animal in need. Beth was passionate about horses and took in many rescue animals over the course of her life. She was full of life and fun, always up for an adventure with her two daughters who she loved deeply.

Beth is survived by her daughters Alison (Putnam) Valle (married to Eliza Valle) and Kelsey (Putnam) Underwood (married to Chris Underwood). She is predeceased by her parents, Marvin and Dorothy (Ryley) Hammer, and her sisters Susan (Hammer) Wereska and Laurel (Hammer) Laton as well as her niece Rebecca Hammer.
