d. November 29, 2025

Benjamin Harry Creighton, 87, of Webster, peacefully passed away at the Granite VNA Hospice Center on November 29, 2025. Ben was a lifelong resident of Webster, New Hampshire, who will be remembered as a loving, humble, and giving person who put others first.

He loved nature, always had a vegetable garden, and enjoyed raising monarch butterflies. He could frequently be found photographing flowers and wildlife, playing BINGO, and taking road trips. Most of all, Ben dearly loved his wife, June, and compassionately took care of her during a lengthy illness.

Ben was a member of the New Hampshire Army National Guard. During his 40-year service, he held many positions. He most enjoyed serving as a First Sergeant of the Headquarters Detachment. He was awarded the prestigious Meritorious Service Medal in recognition of his dedicated career.

For 20 years, Ben served his community with the Webster Volunteer Fire Department, including a time as Chief. He was an active member of the North Star End #11 Independent Order of the Odd Fellows, serving as Secretary for many years. He attended the First Congregational Church of Webster and was deeply grateful for the kindness and support of the Church community.

Ben, the seventh of nine children, was the son of John Creighton and Sylvia (Poore) Creighton Horgan. Ben is survived by his son, Brian Creighton; step-children Wayne Donadio, Jay Donadio, Cindy Perry (Bill), Rob Donadio, and Jeff Donadio; daughter-in-law Sandy Creighton, eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters Beatrice Nadeau and Susan Curtis; brother Daniel Creighton; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to June, Ben was predeceased by his parents, John and Sylvia (Poore) Creighton Horgan; son Glen; sister Virginia Horgan; and four brothers, John, Glen, James, and Perley Creighton.
