Allen C Edwards

Allen C. Edwards, 78, of Deering, passed peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family on Friday, July 3, 2026.

He was born July 20, 1947, in Henniker to the late George H Edwards and Florence M. (Murdough). He was educated locally at Hillsboro-Deering High School, class of 1965.

Allen spent many years as a mechanic at Wyman's in Hillsboro before later working as a truck driver for Henniker Crushed Stone. He also spent many years as a school bus driver. Beyond his career, he was proud to serve his community as a member of the Deering Fire Department.

Allen loved to spend time outdoors tinkering and doing yardwork. He was also an avid snowmobiler and was in the Night Rider Snow Mobile Club. He also enjoyed competing in garden tractor pulling. Those who knew Allen could often find him enjoying a leisurely drive through town, usually with a stop at the corner store for breakfast. What meant the most to Allen was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Allen is survived by his son, Curtis Edwards, his daughter-in-law, Brenda, his grandchildren, Emma and Grady Edwards. He is predeceased by his wife, Patricia Ann Edwards, his sisters, Virginia Wing and Elsie White; his brothers, Eugene, Orville, Wayne, George, Robert, Chellis Edwards, and Leon Farrar

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 11:00am in Butler Cemetery in Deering.
