Alex Charles Finnemore

Alex Charles Finnemore, 36, of Webster, NH, passed away unexpectedly on May 4, 2026. Alex was born July 1,1989 in Concord, NH, the son of Douglas Finnemore and Lisa (Proulx) Byron.

Alex graduated from Hopkinton High School in 2007. During his high school years he and his brother, Brad, started a successful landscaping business that lasted for many years. The bond continued as Alex joined his brother working in construction where he progressed to superintendent for E-J Energy Construction. His work ethic and drive were respected by many who considered him a brother in the field.

Alex married Sarah Poole on September 19, 2009, at a private family ceremony at his grandparents' home in Contoocook, NH, and went on to grow their family with two beautiful daughters, Callie and Piper, and several family pets.

Alex loved his family above all else. He especially loved family gatherings, cooking (specifically barbecuing), playing cribbage and board games with his daughters and family, and listening to music. Alex could often be found riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle as well as spending late nights in the garage with his other brother and lifetime friend, Josh "Burt" Caron. Other past times included motorcycle and car racing, snowmobiling and participating in Kearsarge Trail Snails meetings and events, and "Wing Nights at Buffy's" with his buddies.

One of Alex's fondest memories included time with Big Daddy, especially daily calls, spending hours talking about everything, anything and nothing at all. In addition, he looked forward to his trips home from work, and vacations away with his daughters and wife.

Remaining to cherish Alex's memory are his wife of 16 years, Sarah; daughters, Callie Ann and Piper Rose; mother, Lisa (Proulx) Byron and husband, William Byron of West End, NC; brother, Bradley Finnemore of Ossipee, NH; sister, Courtney Duclos and fiancée, Brody Coburn-Crowley of Lee, NH; grandmother, Rose Finnemore of Tilley, New Brunswick; grandfather, Joseph Proulx of Contoocook, NH; mother-in-law, Theresa Finnemore of Webster, NH; father-in-law, John Poole and wife Tracey of South Carolina; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.

Preceding Alex in death was his father, Douglas "Big Daddy" Finnemore; grandmother, Carol Proulx; and grandfather, Reginald Finnemore.

Alex will be remembered for the love of his children, sense of humor and teasing nature, strong work ethic, steadfast determination, and being a loyal provider for his family.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 15, from 4-7 pm at Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home, 32 School Street, Hillsborough, NH. A celebration of life is planned for later this summer.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations in Alex's memory be directed to the charity of your choice.
