William Henry Hawkins, 74, of Bradford NH passed away January 31, 2012 after a brief stay at Concord Hospital, Concord NH.

“Bill” was born in Wilkes county NC February 8, 1937 to the late Wiley Milton Hawkins and May Bishop Hawkins.  He is pre-deceased by his wife of 30 years MaryEllen Pierson Hawkins.

Bill served as an Airman Third Class in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged June 9^th 1955.

He drove tractor trailers for the majority of his professional career, and retired from a NH Motor Freight company .  He was devoted to his late wife, family, and his faithful four legged friends.  Bill was a kindhearted person who was always willing to help whether it was moving a camper, providing support and love,  or just making a donation  to someone else in need.  

He is survived by his niece Eloise Everhart of NC; 1 step-daughters: Dawn Whitman of SC; Heather Hock, son-in-law James Hock & a grandson Damien Hock of NH.

There will be a service held at the Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service 32 School St. Hillsboro NH  Friday February 3, 2012 at 6pm with Pastor Samual Coberly, of the lake Sunapee Baptist Church, where Bill had been a member.
