East Washington

John Perry Cash 83, of East Washington passed away Friday January 20, 2012, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

He was born August 22, 1928 in Hingham Ma., to James H. Cash and Mable (Hunt) Cash.

John enjoyed being with his family, enjoyed gardening, model T Fords, loved animals, and just being outdoors. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean war. John retired to East Washington after serving twenty three years with the Hingham Tree Dept.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Barbara (Duffney) Cash of East Washington, a step daughter Debra Almeida and Mike Almeida also of East Washington, a step son, Richard Rathbun of Anaheim Ca., his sister Vida Durham of Farmington Me., and her two children, Eric Drew and Joyce Cronin both of Cape Cod, his sister-in-law Margaret Cash and her two sons also from the Cape., his aunt Margaret Hunt of Washington, his cousin David Hunt and his son Harold of Washington and several other cousins.

John was predeceased by his brother James Cash of Washington, his brother Harold of Cape Cod, his brother Richard of Hingham, Ma, and his half-sister Maryanne Wood.

A Private burial and graveside service will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family.
