Earl D. Tibbetts, 72 of Hillsboro, NH passed away on February 12, 2011 after a long illness.

He was born on July 1, 1938 in Goffstown, NH, to Stephen D & Hazel V (Snell) Tibbetts, and was predeceased by a son Michael E. Tibbetts.

Earl was raised in the Grasmere section of Goffstown and attended Goffstown Grammar and High Schools.  In his adult years he worked at several textile mills and machine shops and retired from Jordan Milton Equipment Company as a heavy equipment mechanic.  Mr. Tibbetts also enjoyed working with his wife at the fairs operating their hot dog stand for many years.

Survived by his wife 53 years, Olive M. Tibbetts of Hillsboro, NH, his son Mark F. Tibbetts of Hillsboro, NH, his daughter Cynthia Vachon and her husband Ronald of Tamworth, NH, his daughter Suzanne Viriyanon and her husband Pakasit of Bangkok, Thailand, and his son Martin W. Tibbetts and his wife Gail of Concord, NH.  He is also survived by four grandsons, Kevin Vachon, Sean Vachon, Stephen Vachon, and Ryan Viriyanon, two brothers and one sister, Francis H. Tibbetts, Raymond A. Tibbetts, and Louise R. Ellis, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Tuesday February 22, 2011 at 1 pm in the Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service Hillsboro, NH.
