Hillsboro, NH Francis Edward Macukewicz, 80, died Thursday Nov. 24, 2011 at the Concord Hospital. He was born October 19, 1931 in Boston, Mass. to Alexander and Josephine (Evanoski) Macukewicz. Francis graduated from Hillsboro, High School in 1949 and the University of New Hampshire in 1954. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. Francis taught 30 years between the Harold Martin School in Hopkinton and the Maple Street School in Contoocook. He worked for Richard W. Withington for 14 years during the summer months and then ventured out on his own to become an auctioneer. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1091 and held a lifetime membership at the American Legion Post 59. He was an avid sports fan and would never miss a jeopardy quiz show. He thoroughly enjoyed music and played the saxophone in a jazz band during his earlier years. Most importantly, he valued the time he spent with his family. Survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Priscilla (Cody) Macukewicz, two sons, Robert and Edward Marcukewicz, both of Hillsboro, NH, two daughters, Pamela Driscoll and husband Leonard, of Andover, Mass, and Debra Macukewicz, of Hillsboro, NH, two grandchildren, Kelly and Alexander Driscoll, a brother, Charles Macukewicz and his wife Terry, of, Cherry Hill, NJ, a cousin and several nieces and nephews, and his pal Max. Special thanks to the doctors and staff at Concord Hospital Payson Center for their devoted care of Francis through the years. Services & Burial to celebrate Francis will be in the spring.
