Bennington, NH

S. Patricia Diemond, age 93, of 18 Pierce Hill Road, Bennington, died peacefully in Peterborough on Sunday, August 14.  She has lived in Bennington since 1974.

Pat was born in Barre, Massachusetts, on January 5, 1918 and lived her early years in West Peterborough.  After attending school in Ware, Mass., she returned to Peterborough to work for the Guernsey Cattle Club.  She met her husband, Joseph Diemond at that time and they were married in 1940.

They moved to Connecticut after WWII and raised two children there before returning to New Hampshire.

Pat devoted her life to caring for her daughter Nadine and was a loving mother to her son Joel.  She was also a loving grandmother and great grandmother, who would do anything for those she loved.

She leaves behind her husband, Joe, daughter, Nadine, and son, Joel and his wife, Susie of Millbrook, New York; grandson Jed Diemond and his wife Josephine and their daughter Gabriella of Arlington, Virginia; granddaughter Risa Arbolino, her husband Jamie, their son Jonah and daughter Clara of Silver Spring, Maryland; her sister Helen Paquet of Miami, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours. 

Graveside services  will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Bennington on Thursday, August 18 at 11:00 am.

The Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service 32 School St Hillsboro, NH is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center.
