1967-2011
|
Antrim, NH Sarah J. Del Duca, 43, of Antrim, NH passed away on October 18, 2011. Born November 14, 1967 in Woburn, Mass. The daughter of Ben DelDuca of Burlington, MA and Janice M. Brooks of Antrim, NH. A graduate of Burlington High School, Sarah had a longtime passion for learning that she carried with her through life. Always up for an intellectual conversation, Sarah was an avid reader of fine literature and had phenomenal insight into life and the world around us. The words “good enough” never applied to Sarah, always striving to be better, she hoped to be a school teacher someday. Having traveled to Italy, Ireland, France, and Scotland, Sarah was extremely well versed and dabbled in some foreign languages. At home Sarah enjoyed gardening and cooking, always trying new recipes or experimenting with a new herb or flower. With her father’s Italian heritage, Sarah inherited his passion for Italian cuisine. A huge fan of music, Sarah particularly enjoyed songwriters and folk music, music that had true meaning and originality. She played the piano and guitar, and enjoyed walks through her fields with her beloved golden retrievers. Although Sarah enjoyed the city life growing up, she had much appreciation for the country living that Antrim offered her. Sarah was intrigued by family history and genealogy, a strong bond her mother and her shared over the years. Sarah will be remembered for her non-judgmental attitude, compassionate nature, and firm beliefs in equality for all. She was survived by her father, Ben, and adoring stepmother Barbara Del Duca, an aunt and uncle, along with many cousins; and longtime friend and 2nd cousin George R. Davison IV of Manchester, NH. Services will be held Tuesday October 25, 2011 at 10 am in St. Mary’s Church in Hillsboro, NH. Burial will follow in Pine Haven Cemetery in Burlington, Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Human Rights Campaign. The Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service Hillsboro, NH is assisting the family.
