George P Colby 89, of Concord, NH died Sunday April 17, 2011 at Havenwood Heritage Heights Nursing Home in Concord, NH.

Born April 29, 1921 in Medford, Mass, the son of George B & Henrietta J (Pinard) Colby.

George graduated from Tufts University in Boston, Mass, and worked as a School Teacher for the City of Newton Mass, for many years before his retirement. He lived in Hillsboro, NH, then for the past 2 years they moved Havenwood Heritage Heights.

George was a Navy Veteran of WWII. 

Survived by his wife of 65 years Betsy Cooke (Foxcroft) Colby, of Concord, NH, 2 Sons, George R Colby, of Bolivia, NC, Stephen R Colby, of Naples, Fl, 1 Daughter, Meredith Colby, of Hyannis, Mass, 1 Brother, Walter F Colby, of Dover, NH, 3,grandchildern, 1 Great Grandchild.

Private Graveside will be held at the convenience of the family in Maple Ave Cemetery, Hillsboro, NH.
