Betty Ann Hardy (Starkey) Calkins, 76, of Webster, NH died Sunday March 20, 2011 at Concord Hospital.

Born December 6, 1934 at home in West Hopkinton, NH. Raised in Contoocook, NH, and later moved to Webster, NH in 1965. She was the daughter of the late Francis A and Ruth M (Cooper) Hardy, and also predeceased by a Son Kevin F Starkey.

Mrs. Calkins worked for G.T.E. Sylvania for many years before her retirement. She was in the first graduating class at Hopkinton High School in 1953. She also Baby sat for several local Webster Family’s. Betty enjoyed Playing Cards, Gardening, Crocheting Knitting and later was a avid Bingo player for several years.

Survived by her husband of 45 years Wilfred A Calkins of Webster, NH, 1 Son, Frank E & Melody Starkey, of Webster, NH, 2 Daughters, Karen R & Walter L Scott Jr, of Salisbury, NH, Laurie Calkins, of Webster, NH, 1 Brother, Francis & Joan Hardy, of Henniker, NH, 2 Sisters, Vera & David English, of Franklin, NH, Velma & Floyd Skillin, of Franklin, NH, Several Grandchildren, & Great Grandchildren, Nieces, & Nephews, 1 Aunt Carrie & Lloyd Barton, of West Hopkinton, NH.     

Graveside services will be held in May in Henniker, New Cemetery, Henniker, NH.
