Bruce A. Whitney, 59, of Hillsboro passed away on December 9, 2010 at Concord Hospital surrounded by family and friends.

He was born in Concord, New Hampshire on May 27, 1951 to Ernest and Emily Whitney.

Bruce worked as a CNC mechanist for the government for many years as well as working in family owned green house business.

Bruce was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1091 and the American Legion Post 59. He enjoyed playing pool and singing karaoke with family and friends.

Bruce was survived by his wife Fran (Mary), his wife of 27 years; his daughters Marcia and her husband Charles and their children Corey James and Taylor Marie of Hillsboro, NH; his daughter Brandie Dobbins and her husband Chris and their children Taj and Malik of Springfield, MA; his daughter Samantha Rivera and her children of MA; a step-daughter Beth Chalbeck and her husband Mark and their children Katelyn, John and Seth of Candia, NH; a step-son William Zyliak and his wife Erika and their children Madison and Tatium of Virginia and a step-daughter Jacki Shepard and her husband Michael and their son Xzavier of Mississippi. He is also survived by his brother Paul and his wife Debra of Antrim, NH and a brother Mark and his wife Judy of Kentucky.

Bruce is pre-deceased by both of his parents, Ernest and Emily.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday December 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service 32 School Street Hillsboro NH. Following the service a gathering of family & friends will be at the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge. All are invited to attend.

Burial will be in spring in Harvey Memorial Cemetery Hillsboro, NH.
