James E Trow, 70 of Bennington, NH died Monday September 27, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born June 16, 1940 in Nashua, NH, before moving to Bennington, NH 64 years ago. James was the son of Perley E and Kathleen E (Atkinson) Trow. He was predeceased by his brother, Perley Trow who died in 1999.

He worked for Contoocook Valley Telephone Company & Contel, & G.T.E. Telephone Company’s, in Hillsboro, NH for many years, and also worked for Hillsboro Ford for 5 years, and was Selectman for the town of Bennington, NH for many years. His hobbies were his horses and animal’s and spending time with his family.

Survived by his wife of 50 years, Grace Darling (Drewry) Trow, of Bennington, NH,  1 Daughter, Holly Leighton Mecheskie, of Windsor, NH, 3 Son’s, Donald & Dale Trow, both of Bennington, NH, Eric Trow, of Antrim, NH, 10 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren, And also a Step-Mother, Dorothy Trow, of Mt. Vernon, NH.

Calling hours will be held Friday October 1, 2010 from 6-8 pm in the Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service 32 School Street Hillsboro, NH.

Funeral services will be held Saturday October 2, 2010 at 10 am in the Congregational Church of Bennington, NH, the Rev Robert Richie will officiate.

Burial will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
