Douglas Wilson Sheldon, 91 formally of Glen Rock, N.J. moved to Henniker, NH 10 years ago, died Saturday December 18, 2010 at his Son home surrounded by his family.

Born February 20, 1919 in Staten Island, New York City the son of the late Ernest and Ethel (Wild) Sheldon. Also predeceased by his wife Isabel M (Miller) Sheldon.

He was a Financial Analyst for Caltex-Texaco for many years before his retirement.

Douglas was a WWII Navy Veteran who serving in Korea. He received his MBA in Finance at New York University.

Member of VFW, Hobbyists, Marry Widowers, Chore’s of Bergen County, and All Saints Church, Glen Rock, N.J.

His acid wit and ready smile will be missed by all who loved him. Full sail and fair wind, Swabby, Godspeed.

Survived by 3 Sons Douglas W Sheldon Jr, of Tucson, Az, Brian W Sheldon, of Providence, R.I. Gregg E Sheldon, of Henniker, NH, 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held Monday December 20, 2010 from 6-8 pm and Tuesday December 21, 2010 from 2-4 pm in the Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service 19 Hall Avenue Henniker, NH.

Burial will be held Thursday in George Washington Memorial Cemetery, in Paramus, NJ.
