Deering, NH V. William Laughlin Jr, 87 of Deering, NH died Saturday December 25, 2010 at the New London Hospital in New London NH. Born in Hillsboro NH, the son of the late Vertner W Sr and Kathrine M (French) Laughlin, Also predeceased by his wife Doris G (Butler) Laughlin who died in 2004. He worked at the Goodell Company in Antrim, NH for 30 years before his retirement. Army Vet WWII serving in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, and France, were he received a Purple Heart. He was an avid Hunter, & Fisherman, and a member of VFW Bennington, NH, American Legion Post # 59 Hillsboro, NH. He loved to hunt. Survived by 2 sons George & Jane Bourbeau, of Deering, NH, David W Laughlin, of Peterborough, NH, 3 Daughters, Linda D & Fred Spaulding, of Newport, NH, Elaine G & Norman Bumford, Of Henniker, NH, Debbie Keefe, of Contoocook, NH, 7 grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren. Calling hours will be held Tuesday December 28, 2010 from 6-8 pm in the Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service 32 School St Hillsboro, NH. Graveside services will be held in Maple Ave Cemetery Hillsboro, NH in the spring. Donations may be made in his name to the American Legion Post # 59 538 West Main St Hillsboro, NH 03244.
