Marguerite M Gagnon
1953-2011
|
Marguerite M. Gagnon, 57, passed away on January 5, 2011 at home, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. “Peggy” or “Maggie” Gagnon, as she was fondly called by family and friends, was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on May 21, 1953, to Henry and Rita (Guilmette) DeMuth. She lived with her family in Danville, New Hampshire, for over 25 years before moving to Henniker, New Hampshire, in 2005. She worked in various positions at Raytheon Company in Andover Massachusetts for over 35 years. Her greatest love in life was her dogs, German Shorthaired Pointers, which she raised with her husband, Louis B. Gagnon, and successfully showed at dog shows for many years. When moving to Danville in the 1980’s, Peggy realized her lifelong dream of opening her own kennel for dog grooming and boarding, Coach Road Kennels. Maggie’s other interest was Karate, which she and her son, David, shared a passion for, and in which she earned a 3rd degree black belt. Maggie will be greatly missed by her beloved husband, Louis B. Gagnon, of Henniker; her darling son, David Gagnon of Henniker; her mother, Rita M. DeMuth of Dresden, Maine; two sisters, Anne Irene Green of Frankfort, Kentucky, and Christine M. Jacoby of Moorestown, New Jersey; a brother, Peter J. DeMuth of Berwick, Maine; and many cousins and friends who loved her very much. She was predeceased by another brother, Richard DeMuth. Services & Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to: German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue of New England PO Box 5731, Wakefield, RI 02880, or to The Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, 54 Portsmouth Street, Concord, NH 03301-5400.
Rest now, Little Sister, in the arms of the angels.
