Robert A Allison, 81, died Friday June 4^th at Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough, NH.  He was a life long resident of Antrim, NH.

He was born January 1^st 1929 in Peterborough, NH, the son of the late Hedley Allison and Evelyn Leona (Austin) Allison.  Also, predeceased by a daughter Vicki Ann (Allison) Crossman. 

Survived by his wife of 55 years Rita Mae (Nickerson) Allison.  Also, 5 children, Brian and Cheryl Allison of Mont Vernon, NH, Michael Allison and Sylvia Titgemeyer of St. Louis, MO, Dana and Linda Allison of Lima, NY, Valerie Boutin of  Hudson, MA and David and Laura Allison of Stratham, NH, 11 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandson, a son-in-law Stephen Crossman of Goffstown, NH.  3 Brothers and 1 Sister, Theodore and Beverly Allison of Wentzville, MO, Francis and Irene Allison of Franklin, MA, Leona (Allison) Bohannon of Lynn, MA and Arthur and Ann Allison of Antrim, NH, and many nieces and nephews.

Robert graduated from Antrim High School in 1947.  He served as a Master Sergeant in the US Army during the Korean War.  He worked at the Peterborough Transcript, Manchester Union Leader and the Antrim Post Office.  He was a custodian for the Maplewood Cemetery, He was a past commander of the American Legion Post 50 in Antrim, NH, VFW in Bennington, NH.  He was also a long time volunteer Fireman for the Antrim fire department. 

Robert enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, bowling, making clocks and was an AVID Red Sox fan.

There will be no calling hours.

The funeral services with be held on Saturday June 12^th at 10:00AM at the Antrim Baptist Church, Antrim, NH.

Followed by a graveside service at the Maplewood Cemetery, Antrim, NH with Military honors.

A reception will follow at the Maplehurst Inn from 12:00-2:00.
