Allen Seymour, 77 of Deering, NH died Sunday January 10, 2010 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center Lebanon, NH.

Born in Boston, Mass, Allen was the son of the late James J & J. Elizabeth (McLean) Seymour, also predeceased by his wife Florence M (Tarr) Seymour, in 2002, and a Sister, Jane Sizemore in 2009.

Allen was a Guidance Councilor in the Denver, Colorado for many years before his retirement. He was the Chaplin & Member of the American Legion Post # 59 Hillsboro, NH, and also a member of the Loyal order of Moose Lodge # 1091 Hillsboro, NH.

He was a graduate of Hillsboro, Deering High School class of 1950, and UNH class of 1958. Allen was an Air force Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict.

Survived by 2 Sons, William Welch, of Henniker, NH, Roger Welch, of Weare, NH, 4 Daughters, Kimberly Rice, of Smithville Mo, Sandy Heath, of Weare, NH, Dorothy Welch, of Hillsboro, NH, Nancy Newcomb, of Tilton, NH, 5 Brothers, George Seymour, Donald Seymour, David Seymour, all of Hillsboro, NH, Robert Seymour, of Spring Hill, Fl, William Seymour, of North Haven, Ct, 7 Grandchildren, Several Nieces, & Nephews.

Calling Hours will be held Saturday January 23, 2010 from 1-2 pm in the Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service Hillsboro, NH.

At 2 pm in the Funeral Home, the American Legion Post # 59 Hillsboro, NH, will hold a celebration of Allen life.

Burial will be in spring in Harvey Memorial Cemetery, Hillsboro, NH.
