Theodore F. Hardwick, 90, of Antrim, NH, died January 22, 2010 in Monadnock Community Hospital, in Peterborough, NH. Born in Marblehead, Mass, the son of the late Charles B And Hazel M (Wilcox) Hardwick. And Great, Great Grandson of the founder of Graves Boat Yard at Marblehead. Mass. Also predeceased by his wife Barbara M (Robertson) Hardwick who died in 2008. Theodore was President of Peterborough High School class of 1938. Attended the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa. Entered WWII Jan 1942 as a Flying Cadet, graduated Flying Cadets as a Pilot, class 42-K Rated as pursuit Pilot. Assigned as a member of the first class of cadets in the newly formed Ferry Command. Flew over 36 different types of aircraft that took him to bases in Europe and Asia. Assigned in China Burma India theatre of war including flying B-24s from Jorhat India to most of the American bases in China. Assigned to Karachi India (Now Pakistan) as Aircrew assignment officer. Then assigned all aircrews coming into the China Burma theatre of operation. Theodore returned to Peterborough, NH, in Dec 1945, Married Barbara M (Robertson) Hardwick of Peterborough, NH, in 1947. Lived at Cunningham Pond. Theodore established Highland Homes Real Estate and Insurance with his partner, Winder D. Smith. In 1956 he purchased the W.C. Hills Insurance Agency and operated the agency until 1983. Survived by 1 Son, Paul E Hardwick, of Pasture Path, Antrim, NH. Memorial services will be held Saturday February 13, 2010 at 11 am in the Presbyterian Church Antrim, NH. The Rev Peggi Boyce will officiate.
