Carol Ann Proulx, 66, of Contoocook died July 3, 2009 at her home of 35 years.  She was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on April 3, 1943.  She was a graduate of Lawrence High School and Fazio’s Beauty School.  She was the owner of the Village Beauty Salon in Contoocook for twenty years.  Carol was a member of the Bow Young at Heart Club and also volunteered at the Concord Hospital Hospice House.

Carol married the love of her life, Joseph C. L. Proulx, and shared 46 years of married life.  They raised five children together.  She is survived by her husband and children, Lisa Duclos of Pembroke; Mark Proulx and his wife Heidi of Bow; Susan Roberts and her husband Mark of Bow; Christopher Proulx of Somersworth; and Joseph Proulx and his wife Jessica of New Boston.  She also leaves behind ten grandchildren, Bradley Finnemore of Virginia, Alex Finnemore of Contoocook and Courtney Duclos of Pembroke; Melissa and Jacob Proulx of Bow; Christopher, Rachel and Jillian Roberts of Bow; and Lilly and Madeline Proulx of New Boston.  She is also survived by two brothers, Arthur Pelletier and his wife Nancy of Tampa, Florida; and Alan Pelletier and his wife Karen of Haverhill, Massachusetts; and nieces and nephews. In addition, she leaves behind many other, loved family members and friends.

Calling hours will be Tuesday July 7, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 19 Hall Avenue, Henniker, NH.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday July 8, 2009 at 10:00 a. m., Burial will follow in Contoocook Village Cemetery in Contoocook NH.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Concord Regional Nurses Assoc. in care of Hospice House, P.O. Box 1797 Concord, NH 03302.
