The Crimmins family built a vacation home on Pierce Lake in 1953 spending holidays and summers there until 1967 when they moved to Hillsborough permanently. Although Kit was widowed in 1981, she remained active throughout her life enjoying golf, gardening and watching the seasons change around her. Her favorite times found her surrounded by family and friends enjoying the lake. Kit had a sucession of much loved Siamese cats who were her faithful companions and housemates. She was a longtime member of the Ladies Aid Society and worked diligently to preserve the Union Chapel in the Lower Village. Kit is survived by her sisters Ethel Kimball of Hillsborough, Martha Bishop of Topsham, ME, sister-in-law Jean Kimball of Hillsborough and her daughter in law, Gail Crimmins also of Hillsborough.
