Francis H. Buxton, 85, died July 19, 2009, at Harris Hill Center, VNA Hospice Program, Concord, NH.

He was born in Henniker, the son of the late Leonard P. and Annie (Davison) Buxton.  He was predeceased by his sister, Natalie Coleman and his brother, Philip Buxton Sr.

Mr. Buxton owned and operated For-Trucks, Inc. in Henniker for many years before his retirement.  He was a Navy Seabees veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion Post 59 of Hillsboro.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Dorothy Spalding Buxton; three sisters, Edith Hadley of Henniker, Geraldine French of Henniker and June Wentworth of Hooksett; four children, Joan Taylor, John Buxton and Jeffrey Buxton of Henniker and Joyce Blythe of Deering; and seven grandchildren.

Calling hrs will be held Wednesday July 22,2009 from 6-8 PM in the Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home and Cremation Service Henniker, NH.

Graveside services will be held Thursday July 23, 2009 at 11 AM in the NH Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH. The Rev Rebecca W Maccini will officiate.
