William V Bethel, 85 of Hillsboro, NH died September 16, 2009 at the Hospice House in Concord, NH.

Born in Belmont Place New York, he lived in Farmingdale, Long Island, New York for 35 years before moving to Hillsboro, NH 22 years ago. He would spend the month of August in Saratoga Spring, New York enjoying the thorough bread horse racing. In the winter he would go to Venice Fl.

The son of the late William L & Gertrude (Magura) Bethel, also predeceased by his wife Vera Mae (Wicks) Bethel who died in 2003.

William was an Operator & Engineer for Local Union 30 in Fairchild Republic for over 35 years in Farmingdale New York, before his retirement. Member of St. Mary’s Church in Hillsboro, NH, and a Navy Vet of WWII. He enjoyed the Senior Golf League at Angus Lea.

Survived by 1 Son, Robert V & Mary Bethel, of Antrim, NH, 1 Daughter, Kathy & Kenneth Dolan, of Antrim, NH, 5 Grandchildren, Kathy, Robert Jr, Colleen, Scott, Kenneth Jr, 5 Great Grandsons, Jeffrey, Daniel, Matthew, Briar, Gregory.

Graveside services will be held Saturday September 26, 2009, at 10 AM in Maplewood Cemetery, Antrim, NH.

Donations may be made in his name to the Hillsboro Rescue Squad P.O. Box 350 Hillsboro, NH 03244.
