Neal Robert Brissette, 68, of West Deering, NH, formerly of Bennington, NH, died suddenly Wednesday October 7, 2009 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born September 8, 1941 in Pasco Rhode Island and was the youngest of 7 children.

In his early years Neal was employed by RW Payne of Keene, NH.  He then ventured on to his career as an avid self employed woodsmen.  In the summers his love was working the horse pulls as all the N.H. fairs.  His greatest loves and happiness were his family, his dogs and the great gatherings at their camp on Pierce Lake.  Neal was a loving and proud husband, father, grandfather and “Pep” to all that knew and loved him.  He was always in the company of family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Jeanette Ida (Bradbury) Brissette of West Deering (formerly Bennington). 7 children; Pamela J. Voorhees, Theresa M. Kimball, Lisa A. Brissette, Roger M. Brissette, Sara L. Brissette – all of Bennington, NH, Paula A. Brissette of Jaffrey, NH (formerly Bennington) and Christopher N. Brissette of Norwich, NY, 2 sisters; Lucille Randall of Bennington, NH and Dorothy Dugin of Antrim, NH, 33 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Neal was pre-deceased by 3 brothers; Rodger Edgar, Norman (Spike) and Maurice (Pete) Brissette, a sister Joan P. Robbins and a son Neal Robert Brissette Jr.

Calling hours will be Sunday October 11, 2009 from 5-8 PM at the Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Hillsboro, NH.

Funeral Services will be Monday October 12, 2009 at 11 AM at St. Patrick’s Church in Bennington, NH.
